Michelle Barone is the Principal at Montview Elementry School in Aurora, Colorado. She taught 3rd and 5th grades for 17 years. She has been an Elementary School and a Middle School Assistant Principal.

Michelle wrote many science units, which were published and used by numerous school districts. She received The Presidential Award For Mathematics And Science Teaching and The Chemical Manufacturers Catalyst Award For Excellence In science Teaching in 1996.

Michelle Barone is also a childrens writer. Her latest book, the Capitol Ghost Mystery with Purple Sky Press, is available since the beggining of 2008.

Her first historical fiction novel for middle grade readers, Out Of The Ordinary with History Compass, LLC, went into a third printing during its first year.

Her picture books have been published by Richard C. Owen Publishers, Inc. and Silly Book. Her other articles and stories have appeared in Happiness, Boys' Quest, Hopscotch, Wee Ones E-Magazine, Highlights and Spider.

Michelle lives in Denver, Colorado where she enjoys running, playing guitar and writing stories for kids.
